Prodigy Payment Information

Welcome Prodigy parents and athletes!

This years Prodigy experience will be a little different. The plan will be that I will mainly run every practice to work on development, team work, discipline on the court, competing, executing plays and understanding how to play.

Each team will get 5-6 practices a month.

2-3 weekend and 2 or 3 weekday.

I will put a schedule out month to month so that everyone has a heads up on practices and locations.

Practice locations will be:

  • The church

  • Life pacific University

  • Middle school in Duarte

This is the “DEAL” I have made with MY FAMILY (WIFE🙏🏽)

I will run most of the practices 10/11u, 12/13u, 14u, and girls side.

Things you should do on your own to be an EFFECTIVE player with any good program and to prepare for the future.

  1. conditioning

  2. become a better defender

  3. become a better teammate

  4. make plays for others

  5. KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GOOD AT.

  6. jump rope

  7. start doing some type of plyometrics

  8. ball handling everyday

  9. know how to do lays ups (right hand, left foot…..left hand, right foot)

FUNDAMENTALS ARE THE KEYS TO SUCCESS

I appreciate EVERY PARENT trying to help THEIR child. The best way to help your child would be anywhere BUT at practice. I am asking parents to please keep the sideline coaching to a minimum. Too much sideline coaching will reflect in your child’s lack of playing time. EVERYONE WILL STRUGGLE AND HAVE TOUGH DAYS…..I’m asking everyone to please trust the process.

Fair warning - The girls teams will practice with and against the 12/13u boys and 14u boys when needed.

Days to anticipate for practice and locations:

  • Mondays - St Stephens Church

1720 N Walnut Ave, La Puente, CA, 91744

  • Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays - Life pacific College

    1100 W Covina Blvd

    San Dimas, CA 91773

    United States

  • Saturday, Sundays - Duarte (where tryouts were)

As I add locations or days, I will give everyone a heads up and put it on the monthly schedule.

Cost - $185 monthly dues

Include practices and one tournament

Any additional LOCAL tourney (tourney #2 in a month) will be an additional $50

If we have an out of town tourney, the additional cost will be $75. This helps with coaches transportation, gas, hotel etc.

I will add stuff as we move forward. What I am aiming to do is provide our student athletes to become discipline players, become well conditioned, help with fundamentals, learn ball movement, increase our basketball IQ, teach how to make plays for teammates, learn to talk and communicate on the court, make sure that our young athletes understand that REAL basketball requires our them to speak loudly, make eye contact, play with urgency and pace. We have a long ways to go…..the goal is to help each girl and boy become the best student athlete possible. As we progress throughout the year, we should start to see everyone enjoying the process. If this is done correctly….the success will happen when they start to enjoy the practices and understand that the hard work is just apart of how you compete. Competing should and will be fun when everyone understands and decides to put the work in at home in their free time and at practice.

Thank you.
